Email Instructions
There will be times when
we require users of the software the upload
their databases to ESC Technical Support.
Reasons for this are varied. Email is one
method for us to receive your databases.
It is important to be note
that users must be familiar with their email
program and with the Windows operating system.
The reason for this stems from the fact
that there are many kinds of email programs
out there for use.
Below is a procedure for
sending the database to us via email.
Backup the database - users must first backup their database.
The reason for the backup is that it allows
the user to store an archive copy of the
database in case of emergencies.
ESC software comes with
a backup utility. We also suggest using WinZip to backup the database to a zip file. Both
the ESC backup utility and WinZip compress
the database to a smaller size. This allows
for faster sends and receives of email message.
Attach Database to an
Email Message - using your email client
program, create a new message. Attach the
database zip file to the message. Please
include your name and phone number so that
we can contact you about your database.
Send Email Message - After creating the new message, send the
message to data@esct.com / tech@esct.com.
You are welcome to put any message pertaining
to your database with your email message. |
